The Cancer Council of Victoria does lots of good things.

Notably, it runs a phone support line, which has helped me out more than once.

But the Council’s ‘Donate in Memory’ page is just tacky.

Using grief for a dead relative or friend as a way to con a donation out of you is not, I think, the smartest piece of marketing I’ve ever seen.
